Sheri has lived and worked on Ngunnawal Ngambri country (aka Canberra) for more than 30 years, and is proud to call it home. Sheri is a Gen-X, 5th generation Irish Australian; recovering brown thumb, and self-declared president of the bad hair club.

Sheri is an Accredited Social Worker who holds a Bachelor Social Work (Hons) from Charles Sturt University; she is an EMDR Therapist, and The Flash Technique Trained Clinician. Sheri is also trained to provide Psychological First Aid; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid,  and Ethical Trauma Treatment.

Sheri has worked for more than 15 years with children, teens and adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other traumas. She is experienced working with individuals who have experienced sexual violence; who engage in self injurious behaviour; and people who live with diagnoses such as Anxiety / Depression; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD); Substance Use Disorder (SUD); and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Sheri works with individuals from a strengths-based, humanistic and holistic framework - with culture and identity as central features for human wellbeing. Her practice acknowledges the impact of colonialism; racism; classism; paternalism; exclusion due to gender or sexuality, and myriad other damaging societal influences.

Sheri works in partnership with individuals - holding space for healing and the overcoming of challenges that might be negatively affecting their ability to be the best they can be.
